International – Barclays Technology Centre, India

Barclays Technology Centre India (BTCI) is a fully owned subsidiary of the Barclays Group, with offices in Pune, Bangalore and Mumbai.  As with BTC in Singapore and China , BTCI were expanding their teams at all levels, and chasing skills that are in high demand.  They had an added local challenge that the perception of the financial services technology offices in India is that they are nothing more than call centres offering phone based support.  In fact the offices offer technology services to the Group worldwide, ranging from architecture, application design and development to packaged software implementation, training and application support.  The recruiters had run ad campaigns before but had only done text listings in print and online. Having seen the work we had done for Barclays in the UK  they were keen to go to market with a more creative approach.

With ThirtyThree’s local affiliate taking responsibility for media buying (a legal requirement in India), we took responsibility designing a simple but eye-catching ad for a nationwide Times of India group advert, and for re-branding BTCI’s internal communications promoting their employee referral scheme.
